Alice Watts

Alice Marie (Lil-Bit) Watts, age 65, of Martinsville, died Wednesday, November 19, 2014, at Memorial Hospital of Martinsville and Henry County. She was born in Patrick County December 25, 1948, a daughter of the late James Thomas Reid and Gladys Hairston Reid. Also preceding her in death were brothers Leorn and Ronnie Reid. After graduating from Hardin-Reynolds High School, she moved to the Upper Bronx, NY, residing there until June of this year. She also graduated from cosmetology school, and retired as office manager for Debois, Attorney-at Law in the Bronx. She was a member of Red Hollow Primitive Baptist Church. Surviving are her husband, Sanford Watts of the home, sisters, Juanita R. Richardson (Sonny) of Fieldale, Brenda Eggleston (Vince) and Debra Joyce (Anthony) both of Martinsville, brothers, Wayne Reid (Margaret) and Sandy Reid (Peolia) both of Spencer, Michael Reid (Mitzi) of Martinsville, and Winfred Reid (Crystal) of Johnson City, TN, aunts, uncles, nieces and nephews, and a host of relatives and friends. The funeral service will be held at 1 P.M., Tuesday, November 25, 2014, at Collins Funeral Home in Bassett with Elders Carl Morgan, Rodney Keen and Walter Scales officiating. Interment will follow in the Hairston Family Cemetery in Patrick County. The family will receive friends from 12:30 to 1 P.M. prior to the service.
