In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband of 51 years, James Wright Yale.
She is survived by her daughters, Gwen Yale Cox and Stephanie Yale Turner; and grandchildren, Hayleigh Brooke Turner and Nathan Kyle Turner.
Ann was a substitute teacher for 13 years in the Henry County School System and then worked 20 years at the Adult Learning Center of Henry County.
She was a member of Fort Trial Christian Church where she was a deaconess and member of the Fort Trial Homemakers and Circle #2. She was also a member of the Oak Level Ruritan Club Ladies Auxilary, Busy Bee Garden Club, and Woodmen of the World Drill Team. She was a Girl Scout and Brownie Troop Leader and worked as a band mom for 8 years with Bassett High School Bengal Guard. She was also a member of the Fairystone Camping Club.
Ann loved her family and many friends. She enjoyed getting out of the house and traveling to visit with and help others.
A visitation will be held from 6:00 pm to 8:00 pm on Friday, August 7, 2026, at Collins Funeral Home in Bassett. A funeral service will be held at 1:00 pm on Saturday, August 8, 2026, at Collins Funeral Home and will be officiated by Pastor Danny Hart. Interment will follow at Henry Memorial Park.
