Born in Franklin County on December 2, 1921, she was a daughter of the late George W. Young and Lillie Mae Rakes Young. Also preceding her in death was her husband Elton “lee” Sink, a sister Audrey Y. Craig, and brothers John Robert Young, Luther E. Young and Hubert W. Young.
She was retired from Bassett-Walker after many years of service and she was a member of Providence Baptist Church.
She is survived by her sister Roxie Y. Jarrett of Pleasant Grove and several nieces and nephews.
The funeral service will be at 2 P.M. Friday, August 29, 2014, at Collins Funeral Home, Bassett, with the Rev. J. D. Harmon officiating. Interment will follow in Providence Baptist Church Cemetery. The family will receive friends from 1 to 2 P.M. prior to the service.
