Clara Belle Hanks, age 82, of Collinsville died Sunday, February 21, 2010 at Memorial Hospital of Martinsville and Henry County.
She was born March 18, 1927 in Patrick County to William Zachariah Gammons and Gatha Bowman Gammons, both deceased.
Mrs. Hanks enjoyed bowling. She also enjoyed dancing at the Columbian Center in Ridgeway.
In addition to her parents she was preceded in death by her husband, Ova Lee Hanks and a daughter, Edith Clara Kellam.
She is survived by her daughter, Erma Baker of Delaware; son, Bobby H. Coe of Martinsville; sisters, Vergie Crowe of Sanville, Sue Bowman of Spencer and Shirley Underwood of Horsepasture; brother, Glen Gammons of Collinsville; eight grandchildren and twenty-one great-grandchildren.
A gathering will be held for family and friends from 2:00 P.M. until 5:00 P.M. on Saturday, February 27, 2010 at the Columbian Center, 1201 Old Leaksville Road, Ridgeway, Virginia.
