I was very sorry to hear of Jean's passing. I did not know her well, but I know she was a beloved aunt for Kevin Otey and I know she will be greatly missed by all her family. May God bless you all and give you peace.

Dear Whitt Family, Where do I begin to tell about such a wonderful woman of God? I have known Mrs. Jean for over 25 years because of her daughter Terri and I worked together at Piedmont Trust Bank. I invited them to visit Victory Baptist Church and they came and loved it and stayed. She was the most loving, compassionate and giving woman I have ever known. Her love for God, her church family and especially for her family was immeasurable.I only wish I had a pinch of the talent of cooking that she had. She never let anyone go hungry at her home-the doors were always open to good food for everyone. Her generosity never wavered, especially for needs of the church. If anyone needed transportation to get to church she was going to make a way. Her faithfulness and love for her Lord and Savior will not be forgotten. I will miss her dearly. She fought the good fight and her race is over now, she is with Jesus and her beloved Mack and other family and friends. I lift up my dear friend Terri and the whole Whitt family to our God in prayer to comfort them in days ahead. It's not goodbye to Mrs. Jean-it's see ya later! Love Ya!.
