Donna Stone Dehart

Donna Stone DeHart, 68, of Bassett, VA passed away peacefully at Roanoke Memorial Hospital on July 3, 2024, with her family by her side. She was born April 23, 1956, in Martinsville, VA to Benton and Jewel Stone. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by the love of her life, her husband Mark DeHart; as well as her sister Maybelle Hall, and her brother Bobby Thomas. Donna enjoyed her time working for Leggett’s Department Store and Carter Bank. She loved her daughter Hannah whom she enjoyed spending time with cooking, gardening, thrifting, traveling, and attending live music concerts. Gifted with an incredibly strong spirit, an infectious laugh, and a loving heart, she will be missed greatly by her family and friends. As an avid nature and animal lover she will of course also be missed very much by her dogs Shadow and Buddy. She is survived by her daughter Hannah DeHart, son-in-law Brandon Honeycutt, nieces Debra Young and Cathy Law, nephew Keith Law, sister-in-laws Deana and Linda DeHart, brother-in-law Mike DeHart, and brother Darrell Thomas. A Celebration of Life will be held on July 27, 2024, at Hartland Farms, 438 Rockwood Park Road Bassett, VA at 6:30 p.m. In lieu of flowers please consider donating to your local animal shelter or the Rheumatoid Arthritis Foundation.
