Elsie Laverne Smith Cooper, 54, of 314 Murphy Road, Collinsville, died Friday, September 30, 2011 at her residence. She was born in Newport News on January 6, 1957 to the late Robert Edward Smith and Billie Jean Dotson Smith. She was a member of Hill Memorial Baptist Church and worked for Kimball Hospitality in their sewing department.
In addition to her parents she was preceded in death by one brother, Bobby Smith
Surviving are her husband of twenty years, Milford George Cooper of the home, one daughter, Maria Ann Edwards of Collinsville, two sons, Jeff Sprouse of Collinsville and Timmy Mitchem of Bassett, two sisters, Peggy Mendoza and Brenda Tuttle both of Richmond, one brother, Bruce Smith and six grandchildren.
A graveside service will be held 11:00 a.m. Monday October 3, 2011 at Roselawn Burial Park with Rev. Bill Moss officiating. The family will receive friends after services at graveside.
