Eugine Nichols

Eugine Shelton Nichols 95, gained her angel wings on Monday, September 26, 2022 with her family by her side. Eugine was born February 17, 1927 in Patrick County to the late Ernest & Nellie Burnette Shelton. She was one of five children. Eugine was a life long member of Hill Memorial Baptist Church. Eugine married the love of her life, Junior Nichols in Martinsville, VA on February 10, 1947. Junior and Eugine were married for 61 wonderful years. She graduated from Fieldale High School and then worked at Fieldcrest Cannon Mill until retirement. She did volunteer work at Martinsville Memorial Hospital and loved working in her garden with flowers. She moved from Fieldale to Greensboro 10 years ago to be closer to family. In addition to her parents, she was proceeded in death by her husband Junior Nichols, her twin sister, Ernestine S. Hutchinson, brothers, Jack Shelton, Cliff Shelton and Bill Shelton. Eugine was a loving mother, grandmother and great grandmother to daughter Rebecca N Turnbull(son-in-law George H Turnbull) Granddaughter Lori Niebauer (husband Scott Niebauer) and two Great Grandsons Chase Niebauer and Nicholas Niebauer. A visitation will be held Wednesday October 5, 2022 from 12:00 to 12:45 with services to follow in the Chapel of Collins-McKee-Stone, 30 Riverside Hwy, Bassett, VA. Interment will follow in Roselawn Burial Park. Family wants to thank AutoraCare Hospice of Greensboro for the wonderful and loving care.
