Everett Jefferson Philpott & Edison James Philpott

With hearts full of love and longing, we announce the birth of our precious twin sons, Everett Jefferson Philpott and Edison James Philpott, who were born sleeping on June 22, 2026.

Though their time with us was brief, Everett and Edison filled our lives with immeasurable love and forever changed our hearts. They will always be our cherished sons, brothers, grandsons, nephews, cousins, and beloved members of our family.

Everett and Edison are deeply loved by their parents, Bethany and Edward (Tripp) Philpott; their big sister, Hadley Joy; and furry friend, Maple (May May) who will carry them in her heart always.

They are lovingly remembered by their grandparents, James and Rebecca Harlan of Follansbee WV and Curtis (Jeff) and Gwendolyn (Wendy) Philpott of Bassett, VA, as well as by their great-grandparents, aunts, uncles, cousins, extended family, and many friends whose lives were touched by their presence.

Although we were not given the opportunity to watch them grow, we find comfort in knowing that their lives, however brief, were filled with love from the very beginning. Their tiny footprints have left an everlasting mark on our hearts.

While we ache for the moments we will never share, we are grateful for the gift of Everett and Edison and the love they brought simply by being ours.

Forever loved. Forever missed. Forever our sons.

On Saturday, June 27, 2026, a visitation will be held from 10:00 am until 12:00 pm at Collins-McKee-Stone Funeral Home, 30 Riverside Dr., Bassett, VA, followed immediately by a funeral service with Bishop Barry Moxley presiding. Directly after the funeral a reception will be held across the street at the Martinsville Ward of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints. The burial will be private.

To celebrate the brief but beautiful life of our little boys, please feel free to wear your favorite blue. Please avoid black if you can.
