Frank Carnell Lackey

Frank Carnell Lackey, 67, of 114 English Road in Martinsville, died Saturday, November 13, 2010 at Memorial Hospital in Martinsville. He was born in Henry County, July 14, 1943 to Roy E. Lackey and Mary Perdue Lackey, both deceased.

He was a graduate of Bassett High School, was owner/operator of Lackey Construction and Lackey Racing. He was of the Baptist faith.

He is survived by his wife, Nancy G. Philpott/Lackey of the residence; two daughters, Linda Lackey Campbell of Collinsville and Mindy Lackey Land of Madison, NC; one son, Ken Lackey of Ridgeway; one step-daughter, Shannon B. Newman of Spencer; one step-son, Tony Beal of Martinsville; one sister, Shirley Ann Lackey of Martinsville; one brother, Eldrid Roy Lackey of Woolwine; four grandchildren, eight step-grandchildren; five step-great-grandchildren and several nieces and nephews.

The family will receive friends Monday from 6:00 to 8:00 P.M. at Collins-McKee-Stone Funeral Home in Bassett and other times at the residence.

A graveside service will be held Tuesday, November 16, 2010 at 11:00 A.M. at the Lackey Family Cemetery in the Charity section of Patrick County, with Elder Cletus Lackey officiating.
