I Would like to give my deepest condolences and sympathy to the Holt Family. Just wanted to express myself because I cannot be there in the physical due to having a recent surgery a few days ago but I want to let you know that I am there in spirit and in love. I met aunt Katie and uncle Herman years ago when I married into the family they both treated me so good and their daughters and husbands all treated me really well and their kids as well too I was treated so good I cannot express that enough and words doesn’t express that enough aunt Katie and uncle Herman took care of both of my babies as if it were their own the love that they gave to my son Shyheim and my daughter Alaysha is unmeasurable. Words can’t and don’t justify the love and respect I have for them for taking care of my babies and loving me unconditionally thank you again and again my heart goes out to everyone especially aunt Katie love y’all I miss you dearly I will try to connect with you guys as soon as I am physically able with all my love CeCe

It sadden my heart to hear of Deacon Holt's passing. He was like a second father to me and my sister and I have fond memories of time spent with him and his family. So many times we would spend the night with the Holt family and they always welcomed us in their home. My funniest memory is Herman and Deacon PIlson riding the rollercoaster at Lakeside Amusement Park in Roanoke which was an annual summer church outing. The look on his face when we went down that big hill and him screaming Praise the Lord! was absolutely priceless!!! I love Herman and Katie and my 'sisters' and regret I am unable to attend the services but you all are in my heartfelt thoughts and prayers. He will be truly missed.

My sincere condolences to the Holt family. I’m grateful for the opportunity to have met Mr. Holt over the years. I’ve always received a warm, warm welcome and true hospitality when I visited their home and treated like family. I remember in the late 80’s when he would pick-up Lisa and Anita from Norfolk State, he was always on time, had great small talk, a sense of humor and a big smile. Your spirit and kindness will never be forgotten.... 🌹
