I want to thank you for many things. First and most of all for you allowing me to marry your daughter (the love of my life) 40 years ago. This allowed us to have a son together that we are proud of and he gave us 3 wonderful grandchildren that we also have made up proud. Even before then it was as if you took me into the family as another son. I will always cherish our many hunting and fishing trips with so many memories, our time over the years working on cars, cutting and splitting firewood, and working in the garden. Going to miss your advice on planting and working in the garden.
Being able to see you with your grandkids and great grandkids and the love they each had for you and watching your happiness spending time with each of them. There wasn’t anything you wouldn’t do for them. Going to miss hearing your updates on current events and politics. Knowing how much you loved your family and country. You will be missed so much by all of us. The entire neighborhood felt so much safer knowing you were there. So glad I was able to say goodbye to you.
You will be so missed, beloved husband, dad, father-in-law, papa to the grandkids and great grandkids, a dear friend and a great mentor I will never forget.
