Harold Wayne Wall, age 67 of Bassett, VA., passed away on May 9, 2019. Mr. Wall was born on July 18, 1951 in Henry County, VA. A son of the late James Harvey Wall and the late Thelma Wood Wall. He was also predeceased by his wife, Mary Stewart Wall on April 27, 2018 and a brother, James Edward Wall. He was employed by Southern Finishing in Quality Control for many years until his retirement. He was a member of Tabernacle Baptist Church. He loved camping, fishing, racing and hunting. Mr. Wall is survived by one son, Bruce Wayne Wall and wife, Lori, two sisters, Elizabeth Wall Wagoner and husband, Charles and Marie Wall Foley. He also is survived by two step grandsons, Nicolas and Hunter Loudermilk and a number of nieces and nephews. Funeral Services will be conducted at 2:00 PM Tuesday, May 14, 2019 at Tabernacle Baptist Church with Pastor Chris Atkinson officiating. Interment will follow in the Mount Hermon Church of the Brethren Cemetery. The family will receive friends on Monday, May 13, 2019 at Collins Funeral Home from 6:00 to 8:00 PM. The family suggest memorial to be made to the Mountain Valley Hospice and Palliative Care, 730 East Church Street, Martinsville, VA. 24112 or to the Tabernacle Baptist Church “Children Church”, 2480 Fairystone Park Hwy, Bassett, VA. 24055.

I worked with Wayne at Bassett Mirror. He was always so positive and upbeat. I remember when something great went his way, he would say that he was going to do “The Snoopy Dance”.. 😇 Heaven got a wonderful angel with Wayne. My thoughts and prayers go out to the Wall family.
