Helen Mason (Ted) Lewis

Born in Martinsville September 21, 1930, she was a daughter of the late William Raleigh (Pa) Mason and Flossie Young Mason. Also preceding her in death were her husband Billy H. Lewis, her sisters, Gladys Powell, Hazel Martin and Bernice Ashburn, and her brothers Marvin and Hurd Mason.

Ted retired from Pannill Knitting Company and then worked for several years for Henry County Schools. Affectionately known as “Baba” to her family, she was a most caring and giving person who loved her family, especially her two granddaughters, her six great-grandchildren and her two fur babies Chloe and Cleo. She was a member of Valley Drive Baptist Church.

Surviving is her daughter Tracey L. Fulcher and her husband James of Bassett, granddaughters Cristy F. Whitlock (Johnny) and Jamie F. Peters (Todd), great-grandchildren, Hunter Whitlock, Fisher Whitlock, Carleigh Grey Whitlock, Ella Whitlock, Levi Peters and Liam Peters, her sister-in-law Erlene Mason, and several nephews.

The funeral service will be held at 2:30 P.M. Tuesday, December 23, 2014, at Collins Funeral Home in Bassett with the Rev. Bobby Rakes and the Rev. Tracy Freeman officiating. Interment will follow in Roselawn Burial Park.
