James W. Jimmy Elgin Jr.

James W. “Jimmy” Elgin, Jr., 60, of Harrison, TN, passed away Friday, June 20, 2014. He was a native of Martinsville and relocated after retiring from DuPont after thirty five years of service to Chattanooga, TN, where he has lived the past seventeen years. At the time of his death he was employed with Lowes Hardware. Jimmy was a member of Hickory Valley Baptist Church and enjoyed playing golf and working in his yard.

Preceding him in death was his father, James W. Elgin, Sr.

Surviving are his Mother, Cornelia (Corky) Elgin of Ridgeway, wife, Faye P. Elgin of the home, son and daughter-in-law, Alex Elgin and wife Stephanie of Harrison, TN., sister and brother-in-law, Terri Nelson and husband, Tommy of Bassett and one granddaughter, Sophie Grace Elgin.

Funeral service will be held 2:00 P.M. Thursday, June 26, 2014 in the sanctuary of Stone Memorial Christian Church with Pastor Chris Hayes officiating. Interment will follow in Roselawn Burial Park. The family will receive friends from 12Noon-until 2:00 P.M. at Stone Memorial Christian Church.
