James was born on September 1, 1970 to James Rudolph “Rudy” Martin and Rhonda Spivey Gordon. He had lived his entire life in Henry County. He was a graduate of Bassett High School.
In addition to his father and mother, he is survived by his step mother, Wanda W. Martin, paternal grandmother, Betty Jane Martin, two daughters; Alyssa Martin (Kyle Davis), Autumn Lawson, one son, Tristan Martin, one sister, Katherine Rhea Martin, two brothers; Joshua Martin(Kendra), Alexander D. Martin, three grandchildren; Ava Jane Davis, Della Kate Davis and Zayven Conner.
Funeral Services will be conducted at 2:00 PM on Friday, March 4, 2022 at Collins Funeral Home, 30 Riverside Hwy, Bassett, Virginia with Dr. J.D. Harmon officiating. The family will receive friends one hour prior to the service from 1:00 to 2:00 PM.
