James Tyler Roach

James was a graduate of Martinsville High School and attended William & Lee College, he served in the National Guards for nine years and started working at Fieldcrest Mills in 1952 with 43 years as an Office Manager. He was of the Baptist Faith , Avid Golfer and member of Lynwood Country Club for many years.

He was preceded in death by his parents.

He is survived by his wife of 64 years, Geneva Roach of the home, daughter, Cindy Plaster and husband, Larry of Martinsville, brother, Moss Roach and wife, Patsy of Martinsville, grandson, Keith Dove and wife, Crystal of Bassett, granddaughter, Melody Justice and husband, Steve of Patrick County and great-grandsons, Seth Dove, Trace Dove and Kason Dove, Logan Justice and Bryson Justice.

The family will receive friends Tuesday night, December 30, 2014 from 6:00 PM until 8:00 PM at Collins Funeral Home, Bassett Chapel.
