Mr. Belcher was born on January 22, 1938 in Patrick County, Virginia to Joseph Wayne Belcher and Carrie Boyd Belcher Fralin. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his wife, Inza Cannaday Belcher, grandson, Jeremy Warren Belcher, two sisters, Goldie Benfield and Irene Pendleton, one brother, Danny Fralin. He was a member of First Baptist Church Bassett. He retired from Fieldcrest Mills with over 42 years of service. He loved horses and being a part time farrier. He enjoyed having a monthly meal for family and friends.
Mr. Belcher is survived by one daughter, Wanda Hopkins (Roy), two sons, Glenwood (Pete) Adkins and Jerry Belcher (Denise), two brothers, Walter Belcher (Zelma) and Leon Fralin, two grandchildren, Derek Hopkins and Jennifer Morral (Michael), five great grandchildren, Savannah Hopkins, Aidan Hopkins, Drew Morral, Magnus Morral and Zoey Belcher, special friend, Mary Riddle.
A visitation will be held on Sunday, June 14, 2026 from 6:00 to 8:00 PM at First Baptist Church Bassett.
Funeral Services will be conducted on Monday, June 15, 2026 at 11:00 AM at First Baptist Church Bassett with Pastor Doug Ramsey officiating. Burial will follow at Old Center Primitive Baptist Church Cemetery.
