When I was a child I flew to Virginia from Kansas with my brother til I was 12. And although back then I would never admitted it but I loved visiting them. Every summer we would go for a Family Camping at either Beach. I got my love for Dancing from My Grandma & Papa, although I don’t do much of Dancing any more, but they would take me square dancing. That was so much fun! My grandma is the one that got me cooking or at least baking back then. Although I do love cooking when I’m feeling up to it, back then my Love was for Baking and it stayed my favorite thing until my kids was old enough to cook as well. So I got to pass my cooking to my eldest son, Christian who is now 23 years old with 2 kids of his own &!married also went to a cooking school. So I feel like that love of cooking started with her.
In December of 2006, we went back to Kansas. I hated leaving and I will never forget what my grandma said to me when she found out and at the time I didn’t think it would come true but it did. My Grandma said to me she would probably never get to see her great grandkids again. I kept assuring her that we will be back some day but some day never happened. At this time my eldest son was 12 who is now 24 in November, my daughter was 8 who will be 21 in November, & my youngest son was 5 or 6 who is now 18.
I was planning on going back to Virginia from Missouri this Xmas with my daughter & my new husband but something came up so we wasn’t going to be able to make it after all. I wanted my husband, Robert to not only meet my dad, and the rest of my family but to meet her especially since she was a big part of my life for most of it. Sometimes the guilt of not going back there in time kinda eats at me but then I know that my grandma understood and now she is in a much better place with Papa, Damien, and the rest of the Family that’s been waiting for her to join them.
May God be with her & the Angels watch over her til I come join her.

In working with Kim over the years I have had the opportunity to hear precious stories about her Grandmother. You could see how much love she had for her family. Praying that God will bless each of you during this difficult time!

To my ex mother in law and her family: During Jimmy and my 19 years of marriage and after we ended our marriage on friendly terms she was one of the most wonderful mother in laws I could have ever wished for. She was also a wonderful grandma to our children Tony and April and to her other grandchildren and great grandchildren.
RIP Lillian. U will be deeply missed.
To the Walker family and other family and friends I am sending love and hugs from Kansas. Jerri Walker
