

Louvenia was born on Friday, December 9,1949 to the late James Henry and Susie Manns Dillard. In addition to her parents, Louvenia was preceded in death by her husband of 42 years of marriage, Carmet Ross; son Carmet Ross Jr.; daughters Felecia (Lisa), and Montovia (Toby) Ross; three grandchildren, David Jr., Alexis, and MacKenzie Durant; eight brothers, Harry (Rabbit), Randolph, Matthew, Roger, William, Leonard (Tippy), Clarence (Tinky), and Freddie Dillard; her paternal grandparents, James and Etta Scott Dillard; her maternal grandparents, Harry and Gallie Hairston; brother in law, Roger Menefee; two sister in laws, Annie (Liza) Hairston and Patsy (Pat) Dillard.
Louvenia was one of the first blacks to integrate and attend the Henry County School System. She was always a humorous and fun loving person. She always loved to joke and carry on with many friends surrounding her. She grew up deeply in the church with her Pa and Ma Dillard by her side. Beanie was a girl who loved to dress and won many dance contests for her stylist moves. She worked in various departments within the furniture industry. Stanleytown Furniture was her last employer due to the decline of her health. She was a faithful member of Greater Lilly of the Valley Apostolic Church of Bassett. Her roles included being on the Culinary Kitchen Committee, Sunday school teacher, Usher Board, and Choir. She was a member of the Sunset Drive Outreach Program and the Old School Gang of Bassett.
She leaves to cherish her memories, son, DaLaino Ross of Bassett; three daughters Latosha Durant of Martinsville, Montia (Tia) and Kiona (KiKi) Ross of Bassett; one step son, Kermit and wife Bonita Harper of Martinsville; two grandchildren Elijah and Lashuntee Durant of Martinsville; two step grandchildren, Xzavior and Dorien Harper of Martinsville; one great-grandchild Braylon Ross of Bassett; one brother James (June) Dillard of Martinsville; three sisters Phyllis (Lois) Menefee of Ferrum, Lucy Dillard and Delphinia (Lady) and husband Sherman Roberts, all of Martinsville; four sister in laws, Hallie Law and Delphinia Dillard of Bassett; Euella Ross of Fieldale; Carolyn Dillard of Martinsville, along with a host of many nieces and nephews family and friends.
