Mary E Stredrick

She was a resident of Bassett, VA for many years.

Also, proceeding her in death was her husband Robert L. Stredrick, brothers Jessie (Lucy) Wimbush, Early Wimbush, sister Lillie Wimbush, Brother-in-law, James E. Manns and Sister-in-law, Patricia A. Wimbush.

Surviving are: son, Robert (Denise) Stredrick, daughter Bonita G. Stredrick. She also leaves to cherish two grandchildren, Tyler and Connor Stredrick, and two Godchildren Rene’e Gilbert and Kendra White. Two brothers, Samuel M. and George (Dinah) Wimbush, three sisters, Mildred Manns, Nancy Wimbush, all of Bassett, VA, Shirley (George) Clemons of Salem, VA, Sister-in-law Galvesta Wimbush of Bassett, VA. A host of nieces and nephews.

She was an active member of Friendship Missionary Baptist Church in Bassett, VA. She was also a member of the Usher Board, Missionary Circle and Audit Committee. She retired with over 20 years of service from Bassett Walker Inc. / Vf Knitwear and over 5 years with Henry County Public Schools. She was also an avid bowler.

A visitation will be held on Saturday, October 7, 2023 from 12:00 to 1:00 PM at Collins Funeral Home, 30 Riverside Hwy, Bassett, VA following with a Funeral Service at 1:00 PM. Interment will follow in Carver Memorial Gardens.
