Mattie Hopkins Holley

Mattie H. Holley, 90, of Martinsville, passed away Thursday, February 5, 2015, at her residence. She was born in Henry County on August 20, 1924, to the late Peter Hopkins and Mary Lou Hopkins of the Sanville community. She was retired after working several years with Pannill Knitting Company and was a faithful member of Bassett Pentecostal Holiness church where she had perfect attendance in 2013. She dearly loved the Lord and her church family.

In addition to her parents she was preceded in death by her husband, Billie Holley, four brothers, David, George, Reuben and Lewis Hopkins, four sisters, three infants and Martha Dalton.

Left to cherish her memories are two nephews, William Hopkins and wife Kay and Robert Hopkins and wife Jacqueline, two nieces, Ola Newman and husband, Frank and Mary Grogan and husband Robert, several great nephews and great nieces.

The family will receive friends one hour prior to the Celebration of Life Service which will be held 3:00 P.M. Sunday, February 8, 2015 in the Collins Funeral Home Chapel with Rev. Cecil Coates officiating. Interment will follow in the Old Center Primitive Baptist Church Cemetery in Sanville.
