Michael Aaron Forbes

Michael enjoyed many activities in his life. He worked in the van ministries at Fort Trial Baptist Church, where he regularly attended worship service. He was a dedicated member of the Oak Level Ruritan Club where he enjoyed watching bluegrass shows; he also enjoyed kayaking in the Dan and Smith River. He enjoyed competing in shooting competitions and did a wide variety of outdoor projects. When he wasn't feeding the birds or walking the dogs, he was being a dedicated father to his children, and husband to his wife, who he cherished his time with.

Surviving is his loving wife of 31 years, Tammy Kay Marshall Forbes; daughter Erin Forbes; son, Mark Forbes; brother Patrick Forbes and wife Brenda Forbes, sister Freeda Croom and husband H.A. Croom; niece Hannah Forbes and nephew Tripp Croom.

A funeral service will occur Monday, April 2, 2018 at 2:00 PM at Fort Trial Baptist Church with burial to follow at Henry Memorial Park. Visitation will be held one hour prior to the service.
