Paul Sanford Harris

Paul Sanford Harris, 80, of Egg Farm Road, Patrick Springs, died Monday, May 30, 2011 at Blue Ridge Nursing Home in Stuart. He was born in Patrick County on January 28, 1931 to Walter F Harris and Maggie Lou Cassell Harris. He retired from Bassett Mirror Company where he was a glass cutter. He was of the Baptist faith.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by four sisters, Ora Dell Holt, Vera Wright, Mary Lackey and Rosa Lee Bishop; three brothers, Raymond, Curtis and James Walter Harris and a special friend, Helen Plasters.

He is survived by one sister, Mildred Spencer of Stuart and numerous nieces and nephews.

The funeral service will be held Wednesday, June 1, 2011 at 2:00 P.M. at Collins-McKee-Stone Funeral Home in Bassett with the Rev. Bobby Rakes and Kelly Ratcliff officiating. Interment will follow in Patrick Memorial Gardens.

The family will receive friends Tuesday from 6:00 to 8:00 P.M. at Collins McKee-Stone Funeral Home in Bassett and other times at the home of a nephew, Leon Wright, 140 Amber Drive in Bassett.
