Rebecca Hopkins Shrader, 50, of Ridgeway, died Saturday, February 7, 2015 at her residence. She was born in Martinsville on May 19, 1964, to the late Jesse James Hopkins and Doris Fine Hopkins. She was a graduate of George Mason University where she received her Master’s Degree in education. Rebecca worked as an Education Evaluator and Tester for Green Rock Correctional Center in Chatham.
Surviving are her husband, Tim Shrader of the home, two daughters, Jamie R. Shrader and Lacey M. Shrader both of Ridgeway, one sister Brenda Hatcher of Fieldale and one brother, Gary Hopkins of Fieldale.
The family will receive friends from 6-7:30 P.M. Tuesday, February 10, 2015 in the Collins Funeral home chapel. A Celebration of Life Service will be held 11:00 A.M. Wednesday February 11, 2015 in the Collins Funeral Home Chapel with Rev. Keith Spangenberg officiating, interment will be in Roselawn Burial Park.
