Mr. Robert Troy Penn

Robert Troy Penn, 67, of Stuart, died Sunday April 20, 2014 at Lewis-Gale Medical Center in Salem, VA. He was born in Patrick County on June 7, 1946 to the late Russell Penn and Alverta Hylton Penn. He was retired as a self-employed contractor. He attended Trinty Church of the Living God.

In addition to his parents he was preceded in death by one daughter, Karen Elizabeth Penn Tucker three sisters, Ronnie Penn, Helen Nibblett and Louise Carolina, two brothers, James and Herman Penn.

Surviving are his wife, Beulah Tatum Penn of Stuart, two daughters and son-in-law, Sharon Denise Penn of Stuart and Patricia Ann Potter and husband Mark of California, three sons and daughter-in-law, Robert Andrew Penn, Troy Christopher Penn and Michael Eugene Penn and wife Vanessa all of Indiana, two sisters, Susan P. Hairston and Hester A. Scott both of Martinsville, one brother, Bailey G. Penn of Martinsville, nine grandchildren, one great-grandchild and a host of nieces and nephews.

A Celebration of Life Service will be held 1:00 P.M. Thursday April 24, 2014 in the Collins Funeral Home Chapel with Elder Frank Tatum officiating. Interment will be in the Trinty Church of The Living God Cemetery. The family will receive friends a half hour prior to services in the Collins Funeral Home Chapel in Bassett.
