Roxie Young Jarrett

Born in Franklin County November 5, 1917, she was a daughter of the late George William Young and Lillie Mae Rakes Young. Also preceding her in death were her husband, Richard Eldon Jarrett, sisters, Audrey Marie Young Craig and Blanche Young Sink, and brothers, John Robert Young, Luther Edward Young and Hubert William Young.

She retired from Bassett-Walker after 40 years of service and was a member of Providence Baptist Church.

Surviving is her daughter, Christine Jarrett of Collinsville, two granddaughters, Lisa Correll (Steve) of Bassett and Tina Layman (Tracy) of Patrick Springs, three great-grandchildren, Logan Correll, Nicolas Layman, Colby Layman, and several nieces and nephews.

The funeral service will be held at 2 P.M. Monday, November 24, 2014, at Collins Funeral Home in Bassett with the Rev. J. D. Harmon officiating. Interment will follow in Roselawn Burial Park. The family will receive friends from 1 to 2 P.M. prior to the service.
