There’s more memories of Aunt Ruth than l could possibly share... from her fixing me my own meatloaf with no green peppers... to carting me everywhere to all the races when I was a kid... to just sitting with her and talking on Sunday afternoons... she always had a way with words to make everything seem just fine... There was probably no greater influence on me than Aunt Ruth... she will be missed so much by so many.. she was an amazing lady...

So many memories of fun times at Aunt Ruth’s. Loved all the time spent at her house. We lived at her house when I was young. She always made me feel special and loved. Time at the horse shows, her doing my hair and letting me dress up in her jewelry, cooking, and all the races we went to she and Uncle Damon were always there. What great times. She worked hard and loved all her family. Will miss her but bet there is a huge celebration in heaven as all the family is together now. Love you Aunt Ruth, till we meet again💕💕

I’ve got too many memories to even begin to count. As children we stayed with Aunt Ruth & Uncle Damon when Daddy were racing up North, she dolled us up, rode in a few horse shows, went to church, & swang in her swing. I’m grateful to have her at ever race we went to every summer! She loved racing an never missed a chance to see Daddy & Jimmy run! She was so much fun, she enjoyed life. She was always happy an was a great cook! I’ll miss you Aunt Ruth but am happy you are at peace an with the Lord, Damon, & all your brothers & sisters, Granny Hensley & Papa. You lived a great life an thanks for just being you an showing us all how to be thankful just for the day! Forever in my heart. Rest easy!❤️🏁❤️

Aunt Ruth was a major role model for me growing up. I have so many memories of her perming my hair, dressing me up to pull Lady in the Cart competition at the local horse shows and her divine hot fluffy biscuits smothered in gravy. She was one of the hardest working women that I ever known. And she was simply the best cook in the family, even though competition from the sisters got a little competitive ( and testy) at times. She helped my sisters and I when our mom was in hospice and for that, I am forever grateful. I think of her often and always with a fond memory. May you Rest In Peace Aunt Ruth, but somehow I think you’ll be cooking again along with your sisters for everyone in heaven. I love you.

I grew up across the street from Damon and Ruth. They were always so kind to me and my parents. I am so sorry to hear of her passing. You all are in my thoughts and prayers.
