Shirley Wyatt East

Shirley Wyatt East, age 64 of Collinsville, VA., peacefully passed away Tuesday, June 18, 2019. Shirley was born on August 8, 1954 in Henry County, VA., a daughter of the late Jesse Malcolm Wyatt and Virginia Pauline Harbour Wyatt Merriman. Mrs. East was employed by Pannell Knitting and Sara Lee Knitting until her retirement. She was a member of Temple Baptist Church. She loved people and never met a stranger. Loved the Lord and longed to be with him in heaven. Loved her family and church family. In addition to her mother, she is survived by her loving husband Bobby Lee East Sr., one son, Kevin Wayne Bryant, two step-daughters, Melody Lynn Patten (Stephan) and Crystal Lee Moorefield (James), and step-son, Bobby Lee East, Jr.(Rhonda), eleven grandchildren and two great grandchildren and many nieces and nephews. As well as two deceased brothers, Larry Michael Wyatt and Richard Lee Wyatt and step father Jerry Merriman. Funeral Services will be conducted at 2:00 PM on Monday, June 24, 2019 at Temple Baptist Church. Interment will follow in Henry Memorial Park. The family will receive friends on Sunday, June 23, 2019 from 6:00 to 8:00 PM at the Collins Funeral Home. Collins Funeral Home at Bassett, VA. Is respectfully serving the East Family.
