

Tracy was born on July 31, 1962 in Martinsville, Virginia to John W. Hutchens and Linnie Ridinger Hutchens. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by a niece, Laura Hutchens Peak. Tracy wasa graduate of Bassett High School and attended Embry Riddle Aeronautical University. He was a pilot and a graphic design arftist who created many NASCAR paint schemes for race cars. He was a member of Thomason Heights Baptist Church and loved his Lord. He was an avid Duke Basketball fan, loved flying, golf, the Orioles and had a special place in his heart for their cats.
Surviving is his significant other for 22 years, Barbara Bixler, two brothers, Terry Hutchens (Lisa) and Tony Hutchens (Rose), two nieces, Mary Catherine Steigerwald (Craig), Christy Earls (Corey), two nephews, Jermy Hutchens (Janie) and Robby Hutchens.
A Memorial Service to honor the life of Tracy Hutchens will be held on Saturday, June 13, 2026 at 10:00 a.m. at Mayo Christian Church in Spencer, Virginia.
