

Bobby Gene Pearson, “Bob”, of Bastrop, went to be with the Lord early Wednesday, September 12, 2012 at the age of 78. Bob had been a resident of Bastrop Lost Pines Nursing and Rehabilitation Center for the past two years. Prior to that Bob enjoyed a leisurely life on the banks of the Colorado River in Bastrop. Bob enjoyed hunting and fishing.
Bob was born February 20, 1934 in Austin Texas to Albie and Ruby Prather Pearson. Bob proudly served his Country in the US Army during the 1950’s. Bob’s career in sales included working for Falstaff Brewing Company, Butter Krust Bakery, El Galindo and Security Couriers.
He is preceded in death by his parents, brother, Jim Pearson and sister, Billie Malone.
Bob is survived by his wife of 38 years, Bobbie Pearson of Bastrop, six sons, Steve Pearson and his wife Joy of Bartlett, Wesley Pearson and his wife Suzy of Coupland, David Pearson and his wife Angie of Austin, Barry Pearson of Bastrop, Mark Dennis and his wife Julie of Bastrop, Robert Dennis and his wife Belinda of Bastrop, two daughters, Gaye Fulton and her husband Dan of Austin, Beth Herman of Bastrop, 14 grandchildren, Maranda, Heather, Dustin, Jenna, Matt, B.J., Katie, Amanda, Logan, Paul, Toby, Austin, Peyton, Paige, two great-grandchildren, many nieces, nephews and his beloved border collie, “Lady”.
The Family would like to give a special Thank You to Staff of Bastrop Lost Pines and South Austin Medical Center ICU for all of their care and compassion.
Memorials may be made to the Texas Retired Teachers Foundation or the Penning for Jesus Cowboy Church of Cedar Creek in loving memory of Bob Pearson.
