Dear Maureen and family,
We just heard about Bobby's passing and were deeply saddened by this loss to all of us.  Bobby was such a sweet man and I can remember so many great shows that he and I did together back in Muldoon, Houston, Richmond, Rosenburg, Brenham and so many other places.  He was a great mentor in the singing business for me....my first duet partner.  My fondest memories are those when we all four went out to Denny's, IHOPS and Champs to have a snack after the shows!  What fun we had laughing and talking about all that had transpired.  Our thoughts and prayers are with you always.  Our deepest sympathy to all who loved Bobby so dearly.

Dear Maureen and Family,
   I was shocked and saddened to hear of Bobby's passing.  We lost a good one when we lost Bobby Lueders.  He was always friendly to me and so generous.  I still enjoy listening to the  cassette tapes and a CD that he so kindly gave me.  I will always treasure the  memories that I have of Bobby and Maureen at the Broken Spoke. Bobby was a warm and friendly spirit with a great love for music. His passing is a great loss for Texas swing, but surely a gain for the Heavenly Choir. He lived with us a number of times and he always followed my band wherever we had an engagement and I was always proud to call him up to sing with us.  He was an ultimate western swing lover and later had his own swing band.  I have always been proud of and loved him very much and will miss him every moment as long as the Lord lets me live. So sorry to hear of Bobby's passing.  He was a gentleman in every sense of the word.  My deepest sympathy to Maureen and Bobby's family.  He will be deeply missed by all who knew him.

I've known Bobby very shortly, just as in a whisper of the wind, but  that whisper was warm, kind and friendly.

Maureen:  I first met you & Bobby at the Valentines Dinner @Coupland two years ago, and then again a few times at the Sr.Center in South Austin.   I so enjoyed your company, music, his wit and humor.  You two have been such a blessing to so many.  I will keep all of your family in my prayers & thoughts in the next few days ahead!Thank you for the joy you brought to me the few times I met you both--still play the CD of his music so very often. He was a master of his art!

This is such sad news. We've lost a beautiful person way too soon. He sang almost up to the time he passed so the angels are lucky to have him. Here on earth he will be deeply missed. Bobby was always kind and generous to me, and I treasure both his and Maureen's friendship. Although I can't be at the Memorial Service, I will light a candle and remember and celebrate Bobby with you. I teach class from 10am-2pm every Saturday and would cancel it if new people were not joining on the 12th. My heart is with you. Rest your sweet, beautiful soul, Bobby.

We wish we had gotten to know Bobby better.  But we knew him sufficiently well to know that he was a kind and gentle person and we will miss him.

I will always remember him singing at the grand opening of a Veterans of Foreign Wars Post, just a few months ago, and how beautifully he sang and helped celebrate the dedication, even though he already was quite ill.
