Charles R Simmons

Charlie was born on March 3, 1931 in Llano, Texas. He served in the Navy for 20 years and retired as a disabled veteran.

Charlie is survived by his wife, Helen Simmons, his four sons, Michael Simmons and his wife Charlene; Rick Simmons and his wife Grace; Ralph Simmons and his wife Bidelia; Kevin Simmons and his wife Deborah; his daughter, Sharon Humphrey and her husband Rhett; his brother Calvin Simmons and his wife Lynn; and many loving grandchildren, nieces, nephews and extended family.

Visitation will be on Thursday, July 16 from 6 to 8 pm and funeral services will be held on Friday, July 17 at 2 pm at the Marrs, Jones, Newby Funeral Home at 505 Old Austin Highway in Bastrop. Charlie will be laid to rest at Fairview Cemetery at 1405 Highway 95.
