Dearest Family,
Even though we grieve at the death of our beloved Lucille we can rejoice that she lived and will have life more abundantly in God's Kingdom.  Her life was truly a beautiful living testimony to those around her.   The fragrance of her lovely character like that of a flower will be long enjoyed in our memories.  With love and sympathy.

Dear Derward, Laura, and family, 
So greatly saddened to hear of Lucille's passing.  She was a beautiful woman, inside and out, and you were so blessed to have her as your wife, mother, and mimi.  Your family has always been a part of our lives, beginning with our dad's friendship years ago, as well as our own identical birthdays.  You are in our prayers.

Merry Christmas my dear sweet Mama.  Steve and I are taking a poinsetta to your grave today.  I miss you so much but slowly feeling a little better each day.  You left a loving legacy and I am trying to model myself after you.

I think back to my ages of 10 and 11 years and Mrs. Kelly was a bright spot in my life.  She took my sister, Linda, and me to school and we played at her house after school with Laura and Cynthia.  She liked everyone and was always doing for others because she thought the same of others as she did of herself.  She had a wonderful sense of humor, and a warm heart and smile.  I will always have fond memories of her.

Thank you Aunt Lucille for your love and kindness; you will be very missed, and it was a privelage being related to you.

Mimi was a very kind and loving lady with a great sense of humor. Her family was her life and she had very wonderful life. Rest in peace Mimi.

My dear sweet Mama.  That photo of her was when she was bringing me, Keith her son, some food.  She was always thinking of others, never herself.  Also thanks to Dr. Gupta and the staff at the Bastrop Nursing Center; they were wonderful.  Thanks for your love and your life Mama, I'll see you next in Heaven (assuming I make it).

Mimi was one of a kind and will be missed by all who were fortunate to have crossed paths and a dinner table with her. Loved those smoked pork chops she was famous for! I was very honored that she allowed me to address her as "Mimi". With the greatest of respect and sorrow. Omar

Mama, I love you so much and miss you terribly.  There is a great void in my life now that you are gone.  You have been the best mother anyone could ever ask for and a dear dear friend.  I love you for life and beyond.

We will be forever blessed with the grateful memory of your beautiful smile, joyous laughter, lighthearted humor and kind heart.  Aunt 'Cille, we missed you before you were gone, and forever we will love you so very much.

Mimi and I shared wonderful times together and I will always have those great memories of her to pass along to my kids.  I am thankful she was apart of my life for so many years.  I miss you so much already~
