Lydia Cisneros passed away on June 2, 2013. She was born on March 1, 1945 in York Town, TX to Alfred Chavez and Lena Muguerza. Lydia is preceded in death by her parents; husband, Rudy Cisneros; and sister, Olga Castillo. She is survived by her sister, Elvira Rodriguez; brother, Romeo Chavez; children, Velma (John) Kelly and Jessie (Joy) Chavez; 8 grandchildren and 1 great-grandchild. A visitation will be held at Marrs-Jones-Newby Funeral Home on Wednesday, June 5, from 6-8 pm with a rosary at 7 pm. A graveside service will be held Thursday, June 6, at 10 am at Alta Vista Cemetery.
