Richard Louis (R.L.) Johnston passed away on Jan. 24, 2015, at the age of 84. R.L. proudly served in the Navy from 1950-1954 during the Korean War. He and his family moved to Bastrop in 1963, where he was employed by LCRA until he retired in 1987. He enjoyed raising cattle and spending time with his family and friends. He was preceded in death by his wife Shirley Johnston and is survived by his sons, Johnny Johnston and wife Pam, son Lesley Johnston and wife Tracy, grandsons Kevin Johnston, Levi Johnston and wife K.C. and one great-grandson.
