

Robert S. McClure, III , known to many as “Tall Sword” or “Mac”, passed away on January 31, 2011 following a lengthy battle with liver disease and more recently, lymphoma. He was born on September 13, 1958 in Panama, Oklahoma to Robert Davies and Elaine Lee McClure, both of whom preceded him in death.
Robert is survived by his loving wife Janis, 3 children, James, Sarah, Heather and their families, 2 sisters, Phyllis and Sheila, 2 brothers, Phillip and Ken, his step-mother Sandra McClure and many aunts, uncles, nieces and nephews. Also included in the family of his heart were his dear friends in Leander, Austin, Dallas, Oklahoma, Georgetown and Bastrop.
Robert proudly served his country for 5 years in the United States Air Force. He held careers in jewelry design and production as well as computer technology, with his final position at Apple, Inc. He was very proud of his Scottish, Welsh and Cherokee Heritage. He served as a Wiccan minister and Guardian for the CMA. He loved to participate in Celtic festivals and Highland Games.
Robert dearly loved his family, friends and animals. He will be missed by all who knew and loved him.
