

Alan Patrick McGlynn, 56, passed away on January 25, 2022 after an apparent heart attack while sleeping at his home in St. Gabriel. Alan was born on August 21, 1965 in Baton Rouge, Louisiana to Helen and Sean McGlynn. He was a graduate of Lee High, LSU and LSU Law School. Alan was the owner of Per Spec, LLC construction that specialized in building elaborate playgrounds for schools, churches, community parks and places that needed them most. He loved operating large vehicles that beeped in reverse. Alan was happiest spending quality time with his beloved daughters, Ainsley and Emma. He liked celebrations that included family, friends, fireworks, fires, and good food. Alan will be remembered for his keen sense of humor and generosity. Alan was an organ donor.
Alan is preceded in death by his mother, Helen McGlynn, and his nephew, Little Brien McGlynn. He is survived by his wonderful daughters, Ainsley and Emma, whom he loved dearly and deeply. He is also survived by their mother Charlotte; his father and step mother, Sean and Maureen McGlynn; his sister, Sheila LeBlanc; and his beloved brothers, Sean, Danny, Brien, Shane, Brennan, and Colin. He is also survived by many beloved nieces and nephews whom he loved to put to work building his specialty playgrounds.
