
Albert Louis Patin passed away Saturday, July 9, 2011, at the age of 87. He was a resident of Baton Rouge and a native of New Roads. He was a U.S. Marine during World War II and fought in the invasion of Iwo Jima and was part of the occupation forces in Japan. He retired from South Central Bell with 32 years of service. Visitation will be at Rabenhorst Funeral Home East, 11000 Florida Blvd., on Thursday, July 14, from 10 a.m. until service in the chapel at 2 p.m. Entombment in Greenoaks Memorial Park Mausoleum. He is survived by his son, William Earl Patin and stepson Darryl McAlister and his wife Faye; a daughter, Beverly Marie Patin; three grandchildren and six great-grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his loving wife, Gloria LeBlanc Patin; parents, Louis Albert and Flavie Herbert Patin, son, Robert Louis Patin, stepson Wayne McAlister; sisters, Rita Beauchamp and Sister Marie Patin, Order of the Sisters of Mary; and brothers, Cecil Joseph Patin Sr. Pallbearers will be Ronnie Gilbert, Darryl McAlister, Christopher Wm. Patin and Cecil Patin Jr. He was an avid LSU fan and a member of the Knights of Columbus. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to a charity of your choice.
