A retired secretary who worked for Crawford Corp. and Powell Appraisers, she died at 3 a.m. Friday, Jan. 8, 2010, at her home in Baton Rouge. She was 79 and a native of Wilmer. Visitation will be held at Rabenhorst Funeral Home East, 11000 Florida Blvd., on Monday, Jan. 11, from 10 a.m. until religious service in the chapel at noon, conducted by the Rev. Dennis McAnally. Interment will follow in Zoar Baptist Church Cemetery. She is survived by a daughter, Tonya LeSage; sisters, Elaine Bennett Shar and husband Louis, and Charlene Bennett Averett and husband Romie; brothers, Thomas Bennett and wife Virginia, and Stanford Bennett and wife Mary; and numerous nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her husband, Clifton S. LeSage; and parents, Charles S. and Maggie Davis Bennett. Pallbearers will be Jeff and Rodney Averett, Greg and Gary Bennett, Ronald Shar, and Don Parsons. She was a member of Zoar Baptist Church. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to the Zoar Baptist Church Cemetery Fund.
