A devoted wife, loving mother and grandmother passed on peacefully with family at her bedside Sunday, July 11, 2010, at 4 a.m. at Feliciana LTAC in Clinton. She was 81, a devoted wife of 57 years to logging contractor Pearlie Ogden Jr. and a retired nursing supervisor IV at Feliciana Geriatric Hospital. Visiting at Grangeville Baptist Church on Monday, July 12, was from 5 p.m. to 8 p.m. Visiting resumes at the church Tuesday, July 13, from 9 a.m. until religious service at 10 a.m., conducted by Brother Allen Betz, Brother Mike Cotton and Alice's grandson, Joshua Madsen. Interment in the church cemetery. Survived by daughters and sons-in-law, Connie and Buddy Pace and Deby and Eddie Madsen, all of Bluff Creek; two sons and a daughter-in-law, Ron and Betty Ogden, and Jerry Ogden, all of Baywood; sisters, Betty Whittle, of Baywood, Juanita Leonard, of Pride, and Shirley Miller, of Texas; brothers, Halery and Arthur Ray Clement, both of Denham Springs, and Wayne Clement, of Georgia; nine grandchildren Chris and Curt Pace, Joshua and Kendell Madsen, Kerry Parks, Nicole Rene Whilley, Kirsten E. Ogden, Jay Ogden and Chad Wallace; and 11 great-grandchildren. Preceded in death by her husband of 57 years, Pearlie E. Ogden Jr.; parents, Arthur and Lela Clement; brother, Vidrine Clement; and sister, Pat Thompson. Pallbearers will be Joshua Madsen, Chris and Curt Pace, Colby Pace, A.C. Porter, Mike Brown, J.J. Jones, Chad Wallace and Jay Ogden. Our hearts and special thanks to Dr. Richard Rathbone, nurse practitioner Karla Bringadahl, the staff of Feliciana LTAC, Grace Nursing Home and The Doctor's Clinic for the love and compassionate care given to our mother. She opened her heart and home to all.
