On December 16, 1932, Alice Burnthorne Richhart was born to Luke Burnthorne and Mary Ann Reid Burnthorne in Husser, Louisiana. Following graduation from Loranger High School in 1951, she married Marion Leslie, "Les," Richhart, and moved to Baton Rouge. Shortly thereafter, they purchased their first home where they would raise five children, and reside for the remainder of their lives.
Mrs. Richhart took great pride in being a wife, mother, and homemaker. She was an extraordinary cook, had an uncanny green thumb, and was a source of wisdom, foresight, and encouragement. Until stricken with Alzheimer's, she enjoyed sharing colorful family history, also. She truly was an excellent example of personal strength and fortitude! She and Mr. Richhart instilled the importance of a sound education and, above all else, insured that each of their children had a relationship with Jesus Christ. Faith was a primary source of comfort in daily life.
Mrs. Richhart is preceded in death by her parents, husband, as well as several brothers, and sisters. She is survived by her children, Craig Richhart; Dawn Ringe and Patrick Ringe; Scott Richhart and Della Coish Richhart; Allison Wiggins and Drue Wiggins, and; Darla Strother; her 12 grandchildren; Emily Richhart Hester and husband Jeremy, Caleb Ringe, Luke Ringe, Noah Richhart, Olivia Richhart, Joshua Wiggins, Adam Wiggins, Jacob Wiggins, Meagan McElroy Haulbrook and husband Blake, Les’Lea Parnell, Tylor Strother and Haydon Strother, and; great-grandson Elijah Haulbrook. She is also survived by her younger brothers, Louis Burnthorne, and Luke Burnthorne.

A very special thank you to Tolisha Wallace, Delores P. Massey, and Jade Narcisse, for the exceptional care, dignity, and compassion offered. Your efforts were beyond measure.
