
Mr. Brand was born Nov. 27, 1917, in Beaumont, Texas, and passed away Monday, Sept. 10, 2007, at 12:45 p.m. at Our Lady of the Lake Regional Medical Center. He was a proud 65-year member of the International Brotherhood of Electrical Workers Local Union 995 and a longtime resident of Baton Rouge. He was a member of Florida Boulevard Baptist Church, a beloved and devoted father who enjoyed traveling with his wife and family and an avid sportsman. He will always be remembered as a generous man who often provided for the education of extended family members. Visiting at Rabenhorst Funeral Home East, 11000 Florida Blvd., was on Tuesday, Sept. 11, from 6 p.m. to 9 p.m. Visiting at the funeral home chapel on Wednesday from noon until religious service at 2 p.m., conducted by the Rev. Louis Boyd. Entombment in Greenoaks Memorial Park Mausoleum with his grandsons and Albert Costillo serving as pallbearers. Honorary pallbearer is Peter Lee Constantino. Mr. Brand is survived by a daughter, Molly C. Brand; three sons, Alton W. Brand Jr. and wife Stephanie Brand, of Grosse Tete, Keith W. Brand and wife Vickie Brand and Jude W. Brand and wife Belinda B. Brand, all of Baton Rouge; granddaughters, Anais Brand, Natalie Scott and Jenilee Domingue; the mother of Natalie and Jenilee, Rosalyn Territo Brand; grandsons, Devin, Michael, Casey, Kelly and Colton Brand, Morgan Wampole and Hunter D'Arensbrough; and great-grandchildren, Taylor Brand, Anthony Charles Russo and Grace Marie Domingue. Preceded in death by his wife of 60 years, Thelma Clement Brand; son, Gregory W. Brand; two sisters and five brothers.
