A retired supervisor from BOC Inc. with 23 years of service and a resident of Baton Rouge, he passed away Tuesday, Feb. 10, 2009, at his home. He 62, a native of Torbert and a U.S Army veteran of Vietnam. He received the National Defense Service Metal, Vietnam Service Medal and Vietnam Campaign Medal for his service. Visitation at Rabenhorst Funeral Home, 825 Government St., on Friday, Feb. 13, from 9 a.m. to 10 a.m. Graveside services at Port Hudson National Cemetery in Zachary at 11 a.m. Friday. Survived by his wife of 39 years, Rickie G. Taylor; daughter, Tasha Wooders and husband Steven Wooders Sr.; identical twin sons, Shaylon Taylor and Seneca Taylor and wife Seanice; four sisters, Vercie Banks, Diane Taylor, Denise Purich and Shelia Foster; four brothers, Roosevelt, John Ray, Patrick and Kenneth Taylor; and three grandchildren, Kayla, Kyra and Steven Alvin Wooders. Preceded in death by his parents, Roosevelt and Cecelia Taylor; brothers, Donald and Ronald Taylor; and sister, Betty Joe Dickson.
