

"Amy was a resident and native of Baton Rouge. She passed away Sunday, January 1, 2017 at her residence at age 69. A parishioner of St. Jude Catholic Church, Amy was a retired insurance agent who enjoyed gardening, fishing, cooking and her dogs. She graduated from Lee High School in Baton Rouge and attended Louisiana State University in Baton Rouge. She is survived by her husband, Michael Roberts, Sr.; son, Brant Calvit and wife Rachelle, children by marriage, Mitzi Politz and husband, David, Terri Walters and husband John, Michael Roberts, Jr., and Lisa Hiatt, Michelle Roberts and Mike Abadie; siblings, James Martin Tabor and wife Karen, Susan Tabor, and Whit Tabor and wife Helen; grandchildren, Erin McPherson and husband Blake, Brandi Calvit, David Calvit, III, Amy Calvit, Sam Politz, Gracie Politz, Caroline Walters, Luke Walters, Drew Walters and Piper Abadie; and numerous nieces and nephews including Matthew and Lydia Tabor. Amy is preceded in death by her parents, Whitmell Martin Tabor, Sr. and Elizabeth Lyle Evans Tabor. Visiting at St. Jude the Apostle Catholic Church, Thursday, January 5, 2016 from 9:30 am until Mass of Christian Burial at 11:00 am celebrated by Father Trey Nelson. Interment will follow in Roselawn Memorial Park. Pallbearers will be Matthew Tabor, David Calvit, Blake McPherson, Sam Politz, Luke Walters and John Walters. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to Hospice of Baton Rouge, 9063 Seigen Lane, Suite A, Baton Rouge, 70810. A special thanks to family and friends for their support.
