A proud, beloved and colorful mother, grandmother and friend to all who knew her, she was born Dec. 6, 1950, and was unexpectedly taken from us all on Monday, Sept. 18, 2006, at the Baton Rouge General Medical Center. Her physical body was 55 years young, but her mind and spirit knew no age at all. She was a lifelong resident of Baton Rouge, except for a short stint inOxford, Miss., and was a proud graduate of University High School Class of '68. "Go, Cubs!" She was an avid cook, seamstress, choral vocalist, handbell player and "lifesaver" to many. She was always available to anyone, friend and foe alike, in any time of need or want -- and will be greatly missed by us all.
