
He was an electrician, a native of New Orleans and a resident of Baton Rouge. Andy died at 7:30 p.m. on Monday, June 22, 2009, at the Baton Rouge General Medical Center-Mid City at age 45. Visitation will be held at Rabenhorst Funeral Home East, 11000 Florida Blvd., on Thursday, June 25, from 12:30 p.m. until the religious service in the funeral home chapel at 2:30 p.m., conducted by the Rev. Ron Tyndall. He is survived by his parents, Leroy and Jackie Cronan Owens; wife, Melanie Cefalu Owens; sister, LeAnn Owens Mock and her husband, Edward; three nieces, Allison, Emily and Molly; nephew, Hayden; four aunts, Jan Cronan Luckett and her husband, David, of Niceville, Fla., Joy Cronan Corcoran and her husband, Gene, of Spring City, Tenn., Joan C. Cronan, of Knoxville, Tenn., and Linda Sue Owens, of Brandon, Miss.; uncle, Jerry R. Cronan and his wife, Jenise, of New Caney, Texas; and several cousins. He was preceded in death by his paternal grandparents, Helen and L.A. Mayes, Milton and Leila Owens; maternal grandparents, Edna and Thomas I. Cronan Jr.; an uncle, Thomas L. Cronan III; and a cousin, Kimberly Corcoran. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to the Pastoral Assist Fund in c/o Parkview Baptist Church.
