Anita M. Thomas passed away at her son' home on Thursday, March 18, 2010. She was 83, a native of Maurice and a resident of Gonzales. She is survived by three children, Catherine Cali, Bobbie Cali, and Joe and wife Pam Cali; 10 grandchildren, JoJo Cali, Danielle and husband Chris Catania, Wendy and husband Matt Taylor, Damon Stuart, Karen Ann and husband Mackie Vreazeale, Edward and wife Kelly Pettigrew, David Pettigrew, Amy and husband Glenn Chiovaro, Jessica Marcengill and Michelle Thomas; and 15 great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her husband, Louis Thomas; parents, Erise and Evelina Meaux; and sister, Ruby Baudoin. Visitation at Rabenhorst Funeral Home East, 11000 Florida Blvd., on Sunday, March 21, from 5 p.m. to 9 p.m. Visitation resumes at the funeral home on Monday, March 22, from 9 a.m. until religious services at 10:30 a.m. Interment to follow at Hillcrest Cemetery in Baker.
