Anna Thim T. Nguyen was born in Vietnam in 1952 and made her home in Baton Rouge, Louisiana. On Thursday, May 21, 2026, surrounded by the love of her family, she peacefully transitioned to eternal rest at the age of 74. She was strength wrapped in warmth — a devoted mother, a cherished wife, and the unshakeable heart of our family. She gave endlessly, loved without condition, and asked for nothing in return. To her husband, she was a compass — steady, devoted, and always home. To her children and grandchildren, she was the warmth every family is built around. She moved through life with a spirit too bright to be contained. She explored new places with wonder, welcomed everyone to her table, and made sure no one ever left hungry or unloved. Her grandchildren knew a love that came wrapped in song — tender melodies sung softly, unhurried, as if time itself paused to listen. Above all, she was a woman of deep and unwavering faith. Her Catholic devotion was not something she merely practiced — it was something she lived. And when the time came, she did not go in fear. She left this world as she had lived in it — with peace, with dignity, and with God beside her. Her passing was a gentle surrender, a homecoming for a soul that had already spent a lifetime in faithful preparation. She is not lost to us. She is held Carry her with you — in your kitchens, in your travels, in your faith, and in your song. Proverbs 31:25-26 "She is clothed with strength and dignity, and she laughs without fear of the future. When she speaks, her words are wise, and she gives instructions with kindness." Anna Thim will be dearly missed and is survived by her beloved husband, Huynh Van Mau; her sons, Pham Phi, Pham Long, Huynh Anh, Huynh An, and Nguyen Dat; her daughters, Huynh Anh Thi, Julie Insyxiengmay, Huynh Van, Nguyen Hong, and Huynh Hoa; along with their spouses, grandchildren, and great grandchildren; her siblings, Lanh, Tuyet, Cuong, Bich, and Dung; and numerous nieces and nephews. Thim is preceded in death by her daughter, Kim Phung; her mother, Phan Cay; her father, Nguyen Truc; her sister, Nguyen Cong; and her first husband, Pham Phu.
