Annabel Moran Eckman, a native and resident of Baton Rouge, passed away Saturday, Oct. 29, 2011, at age 87. She is survived by her daughter, Patricia E. Graham; son and daughter-in-law, Richard W. Eckman and Allyson; four sisters, Yola Stoute and Mildred McGee and husband, Percy, of Opelousas, Betty Kimble and husband, Paul, of Krotz Springs and Hazel Gianelloni, of Baton Rouge; five grandchildren, Michael Sean Edwards, Robert John Edwards, Kristen Page Eckman Allgood, Preston Scott Eckman and Jonathan Wade Eckman; eight great-grandchildren and numerous nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her husband, Robert John Eckman; parents, Robert Adam Sr. and Eliza Soileau Moran; and brother, Robert Adam Moran Jr. Visitation will be at Greenoaks Funeral Home on Friday, Nov. 4, from 10 a.m. until religious service at 2 p.m., conducted by the Rev. Jerry Martin. Burial will be in Greenoaks Memorial Park. Pallbearers will be Michael Sean and Robert John Edwards, Preston Scott and Jonathan Wade Eckman, Richard Kuhlmann and Page Eckman Allgood. Honorary pallbearers are Paul Kimball and Percy McGee. She was an avid gardener and loved to travel the world with her sisters. She retired from Bolick distributors after 30 years of service.
